Leading the culinary teams of both Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central and The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central is award-winning Australian chef David King. As Director of Culinary, Chef King oversees all food and beverage outlets at each hotel, designing menus to perfection and ensuring every dish is of the highest quality. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards. He won "Best Young Chef" in Australia from the Scholarship Gastronomy Champagne Mumm. He has also competed in Bocuse d'Or Asia and successfully went on to compete in the competition's international challenge in France. More recently in Malaysia, he earned the title of "Outstanding Chef of the Year" from the Time Out KL Food Awards for two consecutive years in 2009 and 2010. As a passionate chef who believes "being mediocre is the death of a chef", Chef King's enthusiasm for the industry extends to teaching others about cooking.
